The 0.1 Update is now Complete--Onward to 0.2!
Untitled Nature Game » Devlog
Hi everyone,
The 0.1 update came together relatively smoothly. I started with basic things that I felt the game needed most and built it up from there. The changes with the most impact are probably the much larger map, an upgraded terrain generation with water areas, and the ever important feature of saving and loading--since persistence is cool.
Read on to see the full changelog, along with planned features for the next update. For now, I will probably hold off on releasing builds of these incremental updates, but I will continue to post progress updates.
All changes from 0.0 to 0.1, sorted oldest to newest:
- notification queue
- materials drops from removing debris
- item menu bar
- crafting (only a few items for now)
- buildings with interiors (super basic for now)
- 100x larger map
- rivers, lakes, and wetlands generation
- improved inputs
- more debris sprites
- more crops
fences*
walking paths*- saving and loading + file select screen
- assorted bug fixes
* Strikethrough indicates a tested feature that was ultimately removed, at least for now.
Current plans for 0.2 and beyond:
- fish and fishing
- debris spread
- interior decorating and more furniture
- customizable map generation/shareable seed/improved generation script
- gamepad support
- caves
- other improvements
- actually figuring out gameplay progression
Thanks for checking out my game!
